- 1940: Founded as Keating and Son's Limited — marine hardware manufacturer, Montreal. One of Canada's fastest-growing ship-parts producers during WWII (Battle of the Atlantic).
- Post-war: Reorganised as W.J. Keating Limited. Continued supplying marine hardware.
- 1980s: Acquired by Dibblee Tools Ltd., a Saint-Laurent manufacturer supplying PWGSC, DND, and the Canadian Coast Guard.
- 2010s–present: Continues as Dibblee Industries Ltd. / Les Industries Dibblee Ltée. Same address, same NSN registrations, 85+ years of unbroken lineage.
